Prayer: This Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. to direct the Respondent Nos.1 and 2 to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and his family members regard to their life and limb, by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 16.07.2021.

ORDER

The petition has been filed seeking police protection to the petitioner and his family members based on the petitioner's representation, dated 16.07.2021.

2.On the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the second respondent registered the case in Crime No.350 of 2021 for the offences under Sections 141, 148, 421, 294 and 506(ii) of IPC for the very same occurrence. The counter party also lodged a complaint as against the petitioner and the same was registered in Crime No.328 of 2021 for the very same occurrence, under Sections 147, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.9734 of 2021 294, 322, 323 and 506(ii) of IPC, in which, the petitioner is arrayed as the first accused. However, after the said occurrence, the petitioner got severely injured and admitted in a hospital. Even thereafter, with the support of the police official, the respondents herein, threatened the petitioner and his family members with dire consequences.

3.In view of the above, the second respondent is directed to follow the procedure laid down under Police Standing Order 588 and complete the investigation in Crime Nos.328 and 350 of 2021 and file the final report within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.Then, the first respondent is directed to monitor the investigation done by the second respondent and ensure that the second respondent to comply with the order passed by this Court. Further, the second respondent is also directed to ensure that there will not be any clash between both the groups with regard to their community.

5.With the above direction, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
