Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.The prayer in the writ petition is for consideration of the petitioner's representation for grant of the petition mentioned stone quarry lease in his favour.

3.The learned Government Advocate originally sought time for filing his counter affidavit.

W.P.(MD)No.15257 of 2019 4.Since the prayer itself is rather limited, without going into the merits of the matter, the second respondent is directed to pass orders on the petition mentioned representation on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. I make it clear that it is open to the second respondent to pass order one way or other. I have not given any positive direction to pass orders in a particular manner. The issue is left open. The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
