ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by A.D.JAGADISH CHANDIRA,J.) This petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking for a direction to direct the respondents to produce the person or body of the petitioner's daughter namely Iswarya, aged about 24 years, D/o.Late.Suriyan before this Court and to set her at liberty.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 & 2.

3. Alleging that the petitioner's daughter aged about 24 years was missing from 28.02.2025 and despite registering a case in Cr.No.36 of 2025 as 'Women Missing', no steps were taken by the second respondent police, the present habeas corpus petition has been filed.

4. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that based on the complaint given by the petitioner in respect of missing of her

daughter, a case has been registered in Crime No.36 of 2025 under the caption for Women Missing on 28.02.2025. During the course of investigation, the detenu was traced at Hosur and she has given a statement to the respondents stating that she has gone along with known person namely Saravanapandi, who is her classmate in college and that the said Saravanapandi was a married man and he is having wife and child.

5. Pursuant to the issuance of notice by this Court, the respondents have produced the alleged detenu before this Court. We enquired the detenu and she has informed that she is aged about 22 years and on her own volition, she had gone along with said Saravanapandi and she is aware that he is a married man and she has expressed her unwillingness to go along with her mother and she is not under illegal detention of anybody.

6. Recording the submission of the detenu, this habeas corpus petition is closed.
