PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying this Court to direct the respondent to complete the investigation of the case in Crime No.69 of 2022 pending on the file of Pazhavoor Police Station, Tirunelveli District and file final report against the accused persons within a reasonable time period to be fixed by this Court.

ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to complete the investigation of the case in Crime No.69 of 2022 pending on the file of Pazhavoor Police Station, Tirunelveli District and file final report against the accused persons.

2. The facts of the case are that the petitioner's agricultural land was damaged by accused persons. Hence, the petitioner preferred a complaint before the respondent Police and FIR was registered in Crime No. 69 of 2022 for offences under Sections 147, 341, 294(b), 379, 447, 427 and 506(ii) of IPC.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the case has been registered against the accused persons and the respondent Police has not completed the investigation and filed a final report till date. Hence, the present Criminal Original Petition has been filed.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted that the respondent Police seeks three months time to complete the investigation and file the final report. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

5. I have considered the matter in the light of the submission made by the learned counsel for both the parties. By accepting the submission of the learned Government Advocate, this Court is granting three months time to complete the investigation and file a final report before the concerned learned Judicial Magistrate.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
