O RDER This criminal original petition has been filed seeking direction to the 1st respondent to transfer the investigation to any other jurisdictional competent investigating agency and to file final report within the stipulated time in Crime No.214 of 2024 pending on the file of 2nd respondent. 2.The petitioner is the defacto complainant in Crime No.214 of 2024. Based on his complaint the above said case was registered by the 2nd respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 286, 506(ii) and 307 of IPC r/w Section 27(2) of Arms Act and Section 4(a) of Explosive Substances Act, 1908. The grievance of the petitioner is that though the case was registered on 01.05.2024, so far no action has been taken by the respondent police. The investigation is not done in proper way.

Hence, seeking transfer of the same to any other investigating agency, this petition has been filed. 3.The case of the prosecution is that on 01.05.2024 at about 10.15 a.m. when the petitioner went to see his cultivation lands at Melapattam Village, four identifiable persons trying to kill him by throwing country bomb and petrol bomb.

Fortunately, the petitioner escaped from them. But, they criminally intimidated and threatened him. Later the petitioner was treated at Government Hospital and gave the written complaint before the respondent police. 4.Since the alleged offence is heinous in nature, the respondent police shall investigate the case in proper manner and file the final report as expeditiously as possible. The first respondent namely the Superintendent of Police, Tirunelveli District, shall look into the matter and monitor the investigation in this case. 5.With the above said directions, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
