ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to file final report (Charge Sheet) in Crime.No.232 of 2020 dt 19/09/2020 on the file of the respondent police.

2.The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner lodged a complaint to the respondent against the accused persons. For the same, an FIR has been registered in Crime No.232 of 2020, for the offences under Section 294(b), 323, 506(1) of IPC and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002. But, till now, the respondent police has not filed any final report before the concerned Judicial Magistrate Court. Hence, this petition has been filed.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent submitted that based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the respondent police registered an FIR in Crime No.232 of 2020, completed the investigation and filed final report on 19.09.2020, before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Manamadurai. But, the same is yet to be taken on file.

Crl.O.P.(MD) No.10651 of 2022 4.Considering the matter in the light of the submission made by both the Counsels and taking into consideration of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), it is clear that the respondent police has completed the investigation and filed final report before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Manamadurai. 5.Based on the request made by the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner, the learned Judicial Magistrate, Manamadurai, is directed to take the final report on file, which has been filed by the respondent police, if it is in order.

6.With the above direction, this criminal original petition stands disposed of.
