PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying this Court to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate No.2, Tiruchirappalli, to dispose of the above C.C.No.1845 of 2019 on his file as expeditiously as possible and within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate No.2, Tiruchirappalli, to dispose of the above C.C.No.1845 of 2019 on his file as expeditiously as possible and within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. The facts of the case are that the petitioner is a Science Teacher. There was a dispute between the petitioner and the defacto complainant. Hence, the defacto complainant preferred a complaint before the respondent Police and FIR was registered in Crime No. 53 of 2019 for offences under Sections 147, 294(b), 323, 506(i) of IPC.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an accused in C.C.No.1845 of 2019 on the file of Judicial Magistrate - II, Tiruchirappalli. Since the trial was not conducted expeditiously, severe mental agony was caused to the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner seeks to give direction for speedy disposal of the case.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted that in this case, two witnesses have been examined. Further the case is posted on 27.06.2022 for the examination of LW3, 5 and 6.

5. In view of the above, the learned Judicial Magistrate, Trichirappalli is hereby directed to dispose the case within a period of two (2) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
