Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent, i.e., the Chief Educational Officer, Pudukottai to dispose of the petitioner's review petition dated 21.11.2003 presented by the petitioner's Counsel in person before the Chief Educational Officer, Pudukottai regarding cancellation of his record sheet, i.e., passing VIII standard by the District Educational Officer, Aranthangi and the petitioner's further representation dated 07.02.2020 within a specified time frame that may be fixed by this Court. O R D E R

The limited prayer sought for in this writ petition is that the petitioner herein had preferred a review petition in the year 2003 as against the decision of the District Educational Officer cancelling his record sheets pertaining to VIII standard. 2.According the petitioner, the review petition is still pending before the respondent. However, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent on oral instructions submitted that the review petition was already disposed of. It is also submitted that the review petition was filed as against the order, which was passed on 22.02.1989.

3.I do not intend to go into the disputed facts with regard to the pendency of the review petition. Nevertheless in case the review petition, claimed to have been submitted by the petitioner on 21.11.2003 before the Chief Educational Officer, Pudukottai, is https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P(MD)No.12233 of 2020 still pending, the same shall be disposed of as expeditiously as possible.

4.With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
