O RDER This criminal original petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondent police to provide adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and his family members based on petitioner's complaint dated 01.05.2024.

2.According to the petitioner, the petitioner and his family members are facing life threat at the hands of one Murugesan and Chandrasekar. Hence, the representation has been filed seeking police protection. Since the same was not considered by the respondent police till now, the petitioner has come forward to this Court.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the representation from the petitioner will be considered by the respondent police within a short time.

4.Considering the submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to consider the 2/4

representation made by the petitioner, dated 01.05.2024, and pass appropriate orders within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above said directions, this criminal original petition stands disposed of.
