ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the impugned order in No.P23/3/12319921/ADK dated 24.12.2018 on the file of the third respondent and consequently for a direction to the respondents to extend the benefit of G.O.Ms.No.207 School Education Department dated 30.09.2008 with all consequential benefits.

2. The petitioner was appointed as a Secondary Grade Teacher on 21.03.1974 at A.M.M.Sinnamani Nadar Primary School, Thoothukudi. He was awarded selection grade in the post of Secondary Grade Teacher from 21.03.1984. Subsequently, he was promoted as Primary School Headmaster on 01.08.1990. He was retired from service on 31.10.2009. Already, the petitioner has been awarded selection grade for the post of Primary School Headmaster from 01.06.1998 and also special grade from 01.06.2008. This has been reiterated by the first respondent in his counter that both the benefits of selection grade as well as special grade have already been awarded to the petitioner based on G.O.Ms.No.38 School Education Department dated 05.03.2001.

3. Since the petitioner has already been extended the benefit of selection grade and special grade as per G.O.Ms.No.38, extending the benefit of G.O.Ms.No.207 to the petitioner is not possible. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition stands closed.
