This writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to give adequate police protection and also providing sound service permission during the "Lighting Kabadi Tournament" on 28.04.2023 at Night 10.00 p.m., to 30.04.2023 till morning 05.00 a.m., at Kumarankudi, Kumbakonam Taluk, Thanjavur District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 25.04.2023.
2. Mr.M.Nambiselvan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner submitted that the villagers are planning to conduct "Lighting Kabadi Tournament" on 28.04.2023 at Night 10.00 p.m., to 30.04.2023 till morning 05.00 a.m. They sought permission of the police by giving a representation dated 25.04.2023.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that a wrong representation has been given to the second respondent. The concerned jurisdiction police station is Kumbakonam Taluk Police Station.
5. I have considered the submission of the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.
6. In view of the circular issued by the Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu, Chennai in Rc.007301/Genl.I (1)/2019 dated 09.04.2019, the writ petitioner is directed to file a fresh representation before the Kumbakonam Taluk Police Station and on such representation, the concerned police is hereby directed to consider the the same and pass suitable order. Depending upon the outcome of the fresh representation, the petitioner shall workout his remedy through appropriate proceedings. 3/5
7. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
