ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to provide adequate police protection for conducting Temple festival to Arulmigu Sivasudalai Madasamy Thirukovil, Sundapatti Vilai, South Soorankudy, Kanyakumari District from 14.05.2025 to 17.05.2025 by considering the petitioner's representations, dated 14.03.2025, 14.04.2025 and 17.04.2025.

According to the petitioner, all the villagers have decided to conduct Temple festival to Arulmigu Sivasudalai Madasamy Thirukovil, Sundapatti Vilai, South Soorankudy, Kanyakumari District, from 14.05.2025 to 17.05.2025. In this regard, they have sent representations to the respondents on 14.03.2025, 14.04.2025 and 17.04.2025 but the same were not considered. Hence, this petition. 2/5

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that they have received the representations of the petitioner and they will consider the same and take appropriate action in accordance with law.

4.This Court heard learned counsels appearing on both sides and perused the materials available on record. 5.Considering the prayer of the petitioner and all the villagers have decided to conduct Temple festival to Arulmigu Sivasudalai Madasamy Thirukovil, Sundapatti Vilai, South Soorankudy, Kanyakumari District, from 14.05.2025 to 17.05.2025 and the representations of the petitioner is pending with the 2nd respondent, this Court hereby directs the 2nd respondent to consider the representations of the petitioner and provide police protection to conduct Temple festival at Arulmigu Sivasudalai Madasamy Thirukovil, Sundapatti Vilai, South Soorankudy, Kanyakumari District from 14.05.2025 to 17.05.2025, by imposing appropriate conditions, in accordance with law. 3/5

6. With the above said observations and directions, this writ petition stands disposed of.
