PRAYER : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to pay the petitioners all monetary benefits including backwages payable to the husband of the 1st petitioner/deceased employee C.Rajendran, Staff No.98DR1010 for the period from 05.06.12 to 31.05.17 as per order of the Authority dated 19.12.16 in Approval Application No.429/12 passed U/S 33 (2) (b) of the I.D. Act and also to pay them all the terminal benefits payable to him namely Gratuity, EPF, Encashment of Leaves, Social Security Scheme benefit, Refundable Deposits, etc., together with 18% interest per annum and further directing the 1st and 2nd respondents to pay them arrears of pension for the period from June, 2017 to May 2018 and commutation of pension payable to him and also to pay the 1st petitioner family pension with arrears of the same for the period from June, 2018 under TNSTCE Pension Fund Rules, together with 18% interest per annum, within a time frame as may be fixed by this Court. O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to pay the petitioners all monetary benefits including backwages payable to the husband of the 1st petitioner/deceased employee C.Rajendran, Staff No.98DR1010 for the period from 05.06.12 to 31.05.17 as per order of the Authority dated 19.12.16 in Approval Application No.429/12 passed U/S 33 (2) (b) of the I.D. Act and also to pay them all the terminal benefits payable to him namely Gratuity, EPF, Encashment of Leaves, Social Security Scheme benefit, Refundable Deposits, etc., together with 18% interest per annum and further directing the 1st and 2nd respondents to pay them arrears of pension for the period from June, 2017 to May 2018 and commutation of pension payable to him and also to pay the 1st petitioner family pension with arrears of the same for the period from June, 2018 under TNSTCE Pension Fund Rules, together with 18% interest per annum, within a time frame as may be fixed by this Court.

During the course of hearing, it is brought to the notice of this Court by the learned Standing Counsel appearing for respondent No.1 that in terms of the order passed in W.P.No.19922 of 2017, the petitioners were addressed a letter dated 11.02.2025, requiring them to submit certain documents and the same is still awaited. He also further submitted that on submission of the relevant documents, as required through letter dated 11.02.2025, the respondent Corporation would settle all the amounts that are due and payable to the petitioners duly taking into consideration the relief sought in the present Writ Petition. He also further submitted that the gratuity amount of Rs.1,91,443/- were already settled in favour of the legal heirs on 27.01.2025.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, having taken notice of the same, submitted that the petitioners would submit all the relevant documents within a period of two weeks.
4. In the light of the above, the adjudication of the matter on merits is not required and the petitioners are permitted to submit all the relevant documents in
response to the letter dated 11.02.2025, within a period of two weeks from today and in case, if the petitioners submit such documents, the respondents are directed to process the same in accordance with law and also shall take steps to comply with the order dated 14.09.2023 passed in W.P.No.19922 of 2017, within a further period of two weeks from the date of submission of the relevant documents by the petitioners.
5. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
