O R D E R
This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the second and third respondents to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 16.11.2022 by measuring an demarcating the petitioner's land in Survey No. 831/3 to an extent of 9 cents in Lakshmipuram Village, Kalkulam Taluk, Kanayakumari District and issue a separate patta in favour of petitioner.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents.
3. The petitioner submitted a representation dated 16.11.2022 for measuring and demarcating in respect of the properties referred to above. However, no action has been taken on the said representation. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.
4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 submits that after considering the claims of all parties, proper steps would be taken to survey and demarcate the land in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act, 2/5
1923.

In view of the above, this Court directs the second respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's application dated 16.11.2022 for survey and demarcation on merits and in accordance with law. Notice shall be issued to the petitioner and the owners of relevant adjacent lands and appropriate orders shall be passed in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act 1923, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the event of any rival claims, the same can be agitated before the competent civil court. No costs.
