O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.] This writ petition has been instituted seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 4 to remove the encroachments made by the respondent No. 5 in the Government Poramboke land comprised Survey No.667/3, situates in Markkayankottai Village, Uthamapalayam Taluk, Theni District, based on the petitioner's representation dated 20.08.2018.

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3, on instructions,

submitted that the authorities concerned will initiate all actions for removal of encroachments by following the procedures as contemplated under the relevant act and rules.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that survey has already been conducted, but encroachments have not been removed sofar.

4. In view of the above, the respondents 1 to 4 are directed to initiate all appropriate actions for removal of encroachments by following the procedures as contemplated under the relevant act and rules. Such an exercise is directed to be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
