******* C O M M O N J U D G M E N T ********** [Judgment of the Court was delivered by R.MAHADEVAN, J.] These Writ Appeals are directed against the order of Writ Court dated 24.03.2016, made in W.P.(MD)Nos.5852 to 5858 of 2016 and W.M.P.(MD)Nos.5211, 5213, 5215, 5217, 5219, 5221 and 5223 of 2016, whereby and whereunder, a learned Single Judge of this Court granted an order of interim stay on condition that the appellant should pay 20% of the tax demanded by the respondent, in each of the Writ Petitions, within the time stipulated by this Court. Out of 20% of the amount in question, 10% should be paid on or before 31.03.2016 and the balance should be paid on or before 10.04.2016, before the respondent.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the appellant.

3. Today, when the appeals came up for hearing, the learned counsel for the appellant submitted that the appellant has

remitted 10% of the demand amount, as ordered by this Court and she seeks further time to comply with the order passed by this Court.

4. In view of the submission so made, without going into the merits of the case, the appellant is directed to pay the remaining 10% of the tax demanded by the respondent, as directed by the learned Single Judge, by order dated 24.03.2016, made in W.P.(MD) Nos.5852 to 5858 of 2016 and W.M.P.(MD)Nos.5211, 5213, 5215, 5217, 5219, 5221 and 5223 of 2016, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.

5. The Writ Appeals are disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, the connected civil miscellaneous petitions are closed.
