ORDER

The petitioner has moved this petition for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to furnish the duly certified copies of the proceedings to him in respect of alleged acquisition of land under Tamil Nadu State Highways Act including the award or order fixing the compensation for the land of the petitioner in TS.No.2019/167 in Thimmaraya Samuthiram Village, Srirangam Taluk, Tiruchirappalli District.

2. It appears that the land of the petitioner has been acquired. Challenging the above acquisition, W.P(MD)No.8709 of 2019 was filed. While the writ petition was pending, it appears that an award has been passed and amounts have been remitted to the bank account of the petitioner. However, he has not been served with copy of the award to-date. Therefore, this Writ Petition has been filed.

3. Considering the limited request, this Writ Petition is allowed with a direction to the respondent to furnish the award copy passed in respect of the land belonging to the petitioner comprised in TS.No. 2019/167, Thimmaraya Samuthiram Village, Srirangam Taluk, Tiruchirappalli District, to the petitioner, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
