*********** [Order of the Court was made by R.HEMALATHA, J.] It is the case of the petitioner that her daughter, Karishama Selin Varkish George, aged 19 years, went missing from 02.06.2022 and that the police are not taking effective steps to secure her, the petitioner has filed the present Habeas Corpus Petition with the above prayer.

2. Heard Mr.W.Pamelin, learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.T.Senthil Kumar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

3. Today Mr.Murugesan [Mobile No.9498101440], Inspector of Police, Othakadai Police Station, is present before this Court.

4. On instructions, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on the complaint given by the petitioner, Page No.2 of 5

a case, in Othakadai Police Station, in CSR No.400/2022 was registered. While so, Karishama Selin Varkish George and one Gunasekaran appeared before the Inspector of Police, Melur Police Station seeking police protection.

5. At this juncture, the learned counsel for the petitioner fairly submitted that Karishama Selin Varkish George and one Gunasekaran appeared before the Inspector of Police, Melur Police Station, seeking police protection on the ground that they have got married. Accordingly, on information from the Melur Police Station, the petitioner also went there and her daughter was not inclined to come with her.

6. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition is closed.
