O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed to direct the second and third respondents to consider the petitioner's representations dated 06.07.2018 and 28.07.2018 seeking permission to conduct "Adi Thiruvizha".

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the first and second respondents and the learned counsel appearing for the third respondent.

https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 3.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, it is submitted that the Tahsildar, Aavudayarkovil Taluk, Pudukottai

District has conducted a peace committee meeting on 11.08.2018 with regard to conduct of the adi festival and in the said meeting all the stakeholders have agreed to conduct the Adi Thiruvizha in Arulmigu Thiruvetaxhagiya Iyyanar Temple, Peyadikottai, Aavudayarkovil Taluk, Pudukottai District through the Executive Officer, the second respondent herein. It is also agreed by the parties that no one will give preferential respect in the festival, which is to be conducted this month.

4.In view of the above, the fourth respondent is directed to provide adequate police protection for the smooth conduct of the festival. The parties are also directed not to create any untoward incident or cause any disturbance to the public peace and tranquility.

5.With these directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
