This contempt petition has been filed to initiate contempt proceedings against the respondent for her wilful disobedience of the order of this Court, 27.09.2019 made in Crl.O.P.(MD).No.9209 of 2017.

2.This Court, by an order dated 27.09.2019, in Crl.O.P.(MD). No.9209 of 2017, directed the respondent to pay the compensation to the petitioner of a sum of Rs.1,50,000/- (75% total relief of Rs.2,00,000/-) within a period of six weeks. Since the respondent did not pay the compensation amount within the time prescribed by this Court, the present contempt petition has been filed. 3.Today, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent Police submitted that the respondent has issued a https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Cont.P.(MD).No.787 of 2020 cheque in favour of the petitioner for a sum of Rs.1,27,500/- (Rupees One Lakh Twenty Seven Thousand and Five Hundred Only) in Cheque No.212083, dated 18.12.2020.
