ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent police to provide police protection to conduct Aadi festival at Arulmigu Sri Muthupandiyan Swamy temple, situated at

Kodalvavi Village, Oddanchathiram, Dindigul District. 2.The learned Government Advocate, Mr.M.Rajarajan, appearing for the respondents 1 to 6 submitted that a peace committee meeting was conducted by the Tahsildar on 04.08.2018, in the temple premises and all the parties were invited for the said meeting. At the end of the meeting, the decision was taken by all the parties that the temple festival will be conducted in the same manner it was conducted last year, by permitting all the parties to participate in the Aadi festival at Arulmigu Sri Muthupandiyan Swamy temple.

3. The learned Government Advocate submitted that the minutes of the meeting was signed by all the parties concerned.

4. In view of the amicable solution that has been arrived at in the peace committee meeting, the Aadi festival at Arulmigu Sri Muthupandiyan Swamy temple, Dindigul District, shall be conducted in the same manner, as it was conducted last year and parties shall be permitted to participate in the festival. The fourth respondent namely, the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Oddanchathiram, Dindigul District, is directed to ensure that the festival goes in a peaceful manner and that no law and order problem is created by any of the parties concerned.

5.With this direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
