ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The respondent police registered a case as against the petitioner in Crime No.178 of 2024 for the offence under Section 8(c), 20 (b)(ii)(B), 29 (1) and Section 25 1/3
of NDPS Act. Therefore, the petitioners has filed this petition seeking anticipatory bail.
2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner and other accused were in possession of 1.200 Kgs of Ganja.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent strongly opposes to grant bail on the ground that the petitioner is having four previous cases, out of which, one case is similar in nature.
5. Considering the nature of offence and also considering the antecedent of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Hence, this Petition is dismissed.
