O R D E R

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. The petitioner alleges harassment at the hands of the respondent police.

3. The case of the petitioner is that his brother-in-law, namely, Kothandaraman is an accused in a custodial death case. The said Kothandaraman is absconding since November 2020. The police suspect that the petitioner knows the whereabouts of the said Kothandaraman. The second respondent issued summons to the petitioner to appear before him.

4. Summoning the petitioner to ascertain the whereabouts of the absconding accused will not constitute harassment. At the same time, considering the apprehension of the petitioner, I permit the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

2 CRL.O.P.(MD)NO.9887 OF 2021 petitioner to be accompanied by his counsel. The petitioner gives an undertaking that he will appear before the second respondent on 27.11.2021 at 11.00 a.m.
