[Order of the Court was made by R.SUBRAMANIAN, J.] Mr.P.Thilakkumar, learned Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents.

2. With the consent of both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final hearing at the admission stage itself.

3. Prayer in this writ petition reads as follows: "For the reasons stated in accompanying affidavit, it is therefore prayed that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to issue a Writ or Order or Direction, more in the nature of WRIT OF MANDAMUS to direct the Respondents to grant necessary permission and provide adequate Police Protection for conducting the Village Cultural Program on 03.05.2023 at about 07.00 P.M. to 10 P.M., as part of temple festival of Arulmighu Shri Ariyanayaki Mariamman and Arulmighu Shri Semmuneeshwarar Temple at Kallur Village & Post, Pudukkottai District, by considering the Petitioner's representation dated

25.04.2023 and pass such further or other orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstance of the case and thus render justice."

4. There will be a direction to the respondents to consider the application of the petitioner dated 25.04.2023 and grant permission for Adal Padal Programme between 07.00 p.m. and 09.00 p.m., subject to the other usual conditions.

5. The writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
