PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 & 2 to remove the encroachment made in S.No.828/11 in Soorakadu Village, Mullankurichi Post, Karambakudi Taluk, Pudukkottai District, made by the respondents 3 & 4 based on the petitioner's representation dated 03.07.2018. O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.] This writ on hand has been instituted seeking a direction to the respondents 1 & 2 to remove the encroachment made in S.No.828/11 in Soorakadu Village, Mullankurichi Post, Karambakudi Taluk, Pudukkottai District, made by the respondents 3 & 4, based on the petitioner's representation dated 03.07.2018.

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1, 2 & 5, on instructions,

submitted that the authorities concerned will initiate all appropriate actions for removal of encroachments in the pathway.

3. In view of the above, the respondents 1, 2 & 5 are directed to identify the encroachments and thereafter, initiate all appropriate actions for removal of encroachments by following the procedures as contemplated under the relevant act and rules. Such an exercise is directed to be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
