As against the impugned order of the District Collector dated 22.04.2022, the revised list of Deputy Tahsildars for the year 2018, an appeal lies to the Principal Secretary / Commissioner of Revenue Administration, Commissionerate of Revenue and Disaster Management, Ezhilagam, Chepauk, Chennai - 600 005, within a period of two months.

2. In view of the alternative remedy, I do not find any appropriate reason to consider the present Writ Petition challenging the same order. Incidentally, the petitioner herein also preferred an appeal before the Appellate Authority on 04.03.2022, which is said to be pending.
3. This Court is of the view that if the first respondent / Appellate Authority is directed to dispose of the petitioner's appeal, within a stipulated time, the ends of justice could be secured.
4. Accordingly, no interference is required to the present impugned order. However, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's appeal, on its own merits and pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law, within a period of three months, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Till such disposal, there shall be an order of status quo with regard to petitioner's service.
5. With these directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
