ORDER:- This Miscellaneous Petition coming on for orders on this day and upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr. K. Anbumanikandan, Advocate for the Petitioner and of Mr. R.M.Anbunithi.Additional Public Prosecutor(Criminal side) for the respondent(s), this Court made the following order: This petition has been filed to extend the time to surrender before the learned Sessions Judge, Special Court for Trial Cases registered under SC/ST (POA) Act Cases, Dindigul, as per the order of this Court dated 13.05.2021 made in Crl.O.P(MD).No.6673 of 2021. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that by order dated 13.05.2021, the petitioner was ordered to surrender before the concerned Court within a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order/uploading this order. Due to pandemic situation, he was unable to surrender before the concerned Court in time. Therefore, he filed a present petition for extending the time to surrender.

3. Heard both sides.

4. Considering the pandemic situation and the closure of the Courts, this petition is ordered and two weeks time is granted to the petitioner to surrender before the concerned Court as ordered by this Court, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
