PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents to take immediate and expedite action to inaugurate the New Campus of Government Law College, Ramanathapuram located in Kuthakottai Village, consequently direct the Respondents for supplying Drinking Water Facility to the New Campus of Government Law College, Ramanathapuram which is constructed in the Kuthakottai Village of Ramanathapuram District in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Hon'ble Court.

O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by R.SUBRAMANIAN, J.] Mr.Veera Kathiravan, learned Additional Advocate General, takes notice for the respondents 1 to 4, 6, 7 and 9 and Mr.Vijay Karthikeyan, learned counsel takes notice for the respondents 5 and 8.

2. With the consent of both sides, the writ petition is taken up for final hearing at the admission stage itself.

3. Prayer in this writ petition reads as follows: "For the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit it is therefore prayed that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to issue a writ or order or direction more in the nature of WRIT OF MANDAMUS directing the Respondents to take immediate and expedite action to inaugurate the New Campus of Government Law College, Ramanathapuram located in Kuthakottai Village, consequently direct the Respondents for supplying Drinking Water Facility to the New Campus of Government Law College, Ramanathapuram which is constructed in the Kuthakottai Village of Ramanathapuram District in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Hon'ble Court."

4. Mr.Veera Kathiravan, learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the official respondents would submit that the new campus will be completed in all respect in the end of July 2023 and the law college will be shifted.

5. Recording the said submission, the writ petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to reopen the writ petition, if the college is not shifted by 15th August, 2023. No costs.
