Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.The petitioner seeks issuance of passport. His application was not being processed. That led to the filing of the writ petition. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Assistant Solicitor General of India appearing for the first respondent submitted that they are awaiting report from the second respondent. The learned Additional Government Pleader for the second respondent submitted that the case is pending only at the FIR stage. Therefore, there cannot be any impediment for processing the application of the petitioner.
