ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to remove the wrong entries in the online revenue land records in respect of property in survey No.172/9 with an extent of 4 acres 90 cents situated at Kurichipatti Village, Melur Taluk, Madurai District, and thereby, direct the respondents to issue patta in favour of the petitioner based on his representation dated 25.02.2026 .

2. The petitioner claims right over the property in Survey No. 172/9, measuring an extent of 4 acres and 90 cents, as ancestral property and that he has been in continuous possession and enjoyment of the same without any interruption for the past 50 years. The patta and chitta stand in the name of the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner is claiming right over the property. However, in the online records, the property is classified as Government poromboke.

3. The fourth respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation and conduct an enquiry, after affording an opportunity to the 2/4

petitioner, and thereafter pass appropriate orders. . The said exercise shall be completed within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
