O R D E R

The petitioners have approached this Court to quash the F.I.R. in Crime No. 196 of 2023 dated 12.03.2023 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Tallakulam Police Station, Madurai City, against the petitioners.

2. The learned counsel on either side submits that the matter has been amicably settled between the parties and they do not want to prosecute the case.

3. The Manager of the Madurai Corporation Swimming Pool has lodged a complaint that the petitioners have entered into a swimming pool after 05.30 p.m., and created a quarrel and has also assaulted him.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that due to quarrel, the petitioners were also injured and counter complaint has also been registered by the petitioners in Crime No.197 of 2023. He further submits that the accused are students and they have now amicably settled the issue.

5. A Government official has been assaulted. The case was registered in the month of March 2023. It is a case in counter. The investigation agency has to find out who is the real aggressor in this case. They are not supposed to register the case mechanically, as the case and counter case.

6. At this stage, this Court is not inclined to entertain this Petition. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to renew the application after filing of final report. 22.04.2024 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes / No LS To:
