ORDER
Seeking to direct the respondents to grant permission to celebrate the birth anniversary of Dr.Ambedkar on 14.04.2026 based on the petitioner's representation, dated 03.04.2026, this writ petition is filed.
2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the representation was duly received and further directed the petitioner to approach the Election Returning Officer / Revenue Divisional Officer, Cheranmahadevi. However, the petitioner suppressing the said fact, has come before this Court by way of this writ petition.
3. Heard the learned counsel on either side and carefully perused the materials available on record.
4. The Revenue Divisional Officer, Cheranmahadevi, Tirunelveli District is suo motu impleaded as 4th respondent.

In needless to state that the election code of conduct is in force and under such circumstances, the petitioner is directed to make an application before the 4th respondent forthwith and on receipt of the same, the 4th respondent is directed to grant permission to the to the petitioner to garland Dr.Ambedkar's statue on 14.04.2026. It is made clear that the 4th respondent can put necessary restrictions, if warranted.
6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
