ORDER
[Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble CHIEF JUSTICE] There is no element of public interest involved in the matter as it appears that the petitioner has an axe to grind against the fourth respondent-Assistant Commissioner of the Tiruchirappalli City Corporation. The only allegation which is levelled is that the fourth respondent has purchased a house at Woraiyur in Tiruchirappalli in the name of his wife at a value of Rs.80,00,000/-, but the documents of transfer indicate the valuation to be Rs.29,00,000/-.
2.It is submitted by learned Government Pleader that no prima facie case of any corruption was found out and the matter was looked into upon receipt of the petitioner's complaint of December 22, 2020.
3.Petitions of the present kind cannot be entertained on the mere ipse dixit of the petitioner complaining of a public servant being corrupt. There are vague allegations that the fourth respondent is given to taking bribes but no instance is indicated. The only allegation which is made pertains to the house and it will be open to the respondent authorities, including the employer, to look into such allegation in accordance with law. No further order is necessary on the petition.
4.W.P(MD)No.18889 of 2021 is disposed of.
There shall be no order as to costs.
