Respondents 1 to 3 to take appropriate steps under the Revenue Recovery Act to recover the compensation amount of Rs.6,27,945/- (Rupees Six Lakhs Twenty Seven Thousand Nine Hundred and Forty Five only) along with 12 percent interest, awarded by the Commissioner for Employees Compensation Tribunal, Dindigul, from the 4th Respondent Insurance Company and disburse the same to the petitioner within a reasonable time as may be fixed by this Court.

ORDER

The petitioner is before this Court for a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to take appropriate steps under the Revenue Recovery Act to recover the compensation amount of Rs.6,27,945/- along with 12% interest.

2. The petitioner filed a claim petition under the Workmen Compensation Act, 1923 and the Commissioner for Employees Compensation Tribunal, Dindigul in E.C. Case No.32 of 2018 vide order 2/6

dated 12.02.2020 passed an award granting compensation amount of Rs.6,27,945/- along with 12% interest on account of the death of the petitioner's husband during the course of employment. Though recovery certificate has been issued to recover the said amount, the petitioner claims that the first respondent has not taken any steps to recover the said amount.

3. Mr.S.Kameswaran, learned Government Advocate on instructions submitted that steps will be taken to recover the said amount in accordance with law within the time frame to be stipulated by this Court. 4.The said submission is taken on road.

5.The Writ Petition is disposed of directing the first respondent to recover the compensation amount of Rs.6,27,945/- with interest at the rate of 12% per annum pursuant to the order dated 12.02.2020 passed by the Commissioner of Employees Compensation Tribunal, Dindigul, in E.C. Case No.32 of 2018 submitted by the petitioner on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of six(6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3/6

6. There shall be no order as to costs.
