This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the 2nd Respondent to conduct further investigation in FIR No.31 of 2025 based on the Petitioner's representations, dated 26.03.2025 and 02.04.2025.
2.On 06.03.2025, the petitioner's son and his friend Manoj were travelled in a two wheeler at Karur - Dharapuram Main road. At that time, one unknown Car came in a opposite direction dashed the vehicle of the petitioner's son. Thereby, an accident took place and in that accident, the petitioner's son and said Manoj have sustained multiple injuries and admitted in the Government Hospital, Karur. The 2nd respondent enquired only the victim Manoj and not obtained statement from the petitioner's son, registered a case in Crime No.31 of 2025. They have not taken any steps to trace the vehicle, which dashed against the vehicle of the petitioner's son. Therefore, the petitioner has sent representations on 26.03.2025 and 02.04.2025, but no action has been taken. Hence, this petition.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) would submit that based on the complaint of one Manoj, they have registered a case in Crime No. 31 of 2025 as against unknown vehicle and now the case is pending for investigation. On investigation, it reveals that the petitioner's son and Manoj themselves fell down from the vehicle, due to intoxication. However, in this case, investigation is still going on. They will conduct proper investigation and take appropriate steps to identify the unknown vehicle.
4.Considering the prayer of the petitioner and recording the aforesaid submission of the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) that the investigation is still pending with the 2nd respondent and they also assured that they will take appropriate steps to trace out the unknown vehicle, further investigation will not arise, at this stage. 5.In view of the above observations, this petition is closed. 28.04.2025 Internet :Yes Index :Yes/No NCC :Yes/No PNM 3/5
