2. The petitioners are studying B.Com (C.S) & B.A (Tamil) respectively. It is stated that the petitioners had assaulted their fellow students and that a criminal case was registered in this regard. The petitioners were suspended.
3. The relief that the petitioners want in these writ petitions is that they should be permitted to write the forthcoming examinations.
4. I wanted to know from the respondents as to whether the petitioners are having requisite attendance. The learned standing counsel appearing for the college stated that the petitioners are having requisite attendance. It is true that the disciplinary https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
W.P.(MD)No.12179 & 12367 of 2022 proceedings are yet to get concluded. I am afraid that if no relief is granted in these writ petitions, the petitioners may have to lose one full semester.
5. The petitioners through their counsel give an undertaking that they will give a hand written letter of apology addressed to the second respondent.
6. Since the petitioners show remorse, in order to ensure that their future is not affected, I direct the respondents to permit the petitioners to write the forthcoming examinations.
