Heard both sides.

2.The sixth respondent herein filed W.P(MD)No.13272 of 2018 for cancelling patta issued in respect of Gandhinagar Devipattinam Pallar Oorani. The writ petition was disposed of by the Division Bench on 28.08.2018 with a direction to the Sub Collector to pass appropriate orders after getting report from the Revenue Inspector as well as from the Deputy Tahsildar. Apprehending that he may be dispossessed, one of the assignees filed this writ petition.

3.When the matter was taken up for final hearing, the learned Government Advocate produced copy of the proceedings dated 30.11.2020 whereby the petitioner's assignment had already been cancelled. Further direction has been given for restoring the water body. It is for the petitioner to workout his rights in the manner known to law. 4.This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
