PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Section 438 of Cr.P.C. PRAYER :- For Anticipatory Bail in Crime No.345 of 2022 on the file of the Respondent police.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/A.2, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b) and 506(ii) IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Charging Exorbitant Interest Act, 2003, in Crime No.345 of 2022, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that the defacto complainant had borrowed a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- from the first accused and thereafter, he remitted the interest along with the principal amount to the first accused and when the defacto complainant unable to pay the interest to the first accused, the first accused along with other accused threatened him with dire consequences. Hence, the complaint.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police would submit that the investigation is pending.

5.Considering the seriousness and gravity of the offence alleged against the petitioner and also the fact that investigation is pending, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
