ORDER

The petitioner seeks issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents 2 and 3 to conduct an enquiry and cancel the patta issued in the name of the fourth respondent.

2. I have heard Mr.D.Saravanan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.B.Saravanan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3.

3. The fourth respondent is the brother of the writ petitioner. The grievance of the petitioner is that the fourth respondent, suppressing the existence of the petitioner, has proceeded to obtain patta in his individual name. The petitioner has therefore, made an application on 17.10.2024 seeking cancellation of said patta fraudulently obtained by the fourth respondent.

4. Though the petitioner is seeking direction to the respondents 2 & 3 considering the fact that the first respondent is the competent authority to address the grievances of the petitioner, the writ petition is disposed of directing the first respondent to dispose of the representation dated 17.10.2024 given by the petitioner to the first respondent, after giving an opportunity to the petitioner as well as his brother, the fourth respondent and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
