O R D E R

The Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of a Mandamus to consider the documents submitted on 08.01.2022 and direct the respondents to pay the compensation amount consequent to the acquisition of the lands of the petitioner in survey Nos.168/59 and 168/60 at Nanjikottai Village, Thanjavur Taluk.

2. The petitioner claims title to the said lands. The lands have been acquired by due process. The petitioner claims entitlement for payment of compensation.

3. The learned Counsel states that the copies of the documents relating to the title have been handed over to the second respondent. It is however, stated that the compensation had not yet been 2/5

paid. It is purely subjective satisfaction of the respondents to examine the documents submitted.

4. An opportunity is given to the petitioner to once again submitted the title documents to the second respondent and if the second respondent is satisfied with the title of the petitioner, he/she may act in accordance with the provisions of law, so far as the payment of compensation is concerned. From the date on which the petitioner submits documents, the second respondent may take a decision relating to payment of compensation or otherwise to the petitioner within a period of eight weeks.

5. With the above observation, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
