ORDER
The present Criminal Miscellaneous petition has been filed to amend the Crime No.207 of 2026 instead of Crime No.20 of 2026 and the Court name 2nd Additional District and Sessions Court for PCR Cases, Tirunelveli instead of 3rd Additional District and Sessions Court for PCR Cases, Tirunelveli in the above Crl.O.P.(MD).No.6542 of 2026 on the file of this court.
2. The learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that, in the main petition in Crl.O.P.(MD) No.6542 of 2026, the crime number was erroneously mentioned as Crime No.20 of 2026 instead of Crime No.207 of 2026, and the Court was wrongly described as the 3rd Additional District and Sessions Court for PCR Cases, Tirunelveli, instead of the 2nd Additional District and Sessions Court for PCR Cases, Tirunelveli. The said typographical errors in the main petition were also reflected in the 2/5
order dated 02.04.2026 passed in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.6542 of 2026. Therefore, he prayed that the said errors in the order may be rectified and a modified copy of the order be issued.

Considering the submission made by the learned Counsel for the petitioner, Registry is directed to modify the following: (i) Wherever the words "3rd Additional District and Sessions Court for PCR Cases, Tirunelveli" appear in the order dated 02.04.2026 made in Crl.O.P.(MD).No.6542 of 2026, they shall be substituted with the words "2nd Additional District and Sessions Court for PCR Cases, Tirunelveli."
and (ii) Wherever the words "Crime No.20 of 2026" appear in the order dated 02.04.2026 made in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.6542 of 2026, they shall be substituted with the words "Crime No.207 of 2026." 3/5
4. Registry is directed to rectify the above errors in the order made in Crl.OP.(MD).No.6542 of 2026 dated 02.04.2026 and issue fresh/modified order copy.
5. Accordingly, this Criminal miscellaneous Petition stands allowed.
