ORDER
[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] It is the case of the petitioner that his daughter Kayathri, aged 21 years, went missing from 30.03.2022 and that police are not taking effective steps to secure her.
2. Today, Mr.Saravanan, Special Sub Inspector of Police, Rayappanpatti Police Station, Theni is present.
3. On instructions, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that earlier Kayathri went missing, in connection with which, on the complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Rayappanpatti Police Station Crime No.91/2022 was registered on https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
H.C.P.(MD)No.957 of 2022 30.03.2022 for 'woman missing' and during the course of investigation, it came to light that Kayathri was in love with Jayaseelan, S/o.Ravi, with whom she has eloped. However, the police secured her on 12.04.2022 and handed over to the petitioner. Again, Kayathri has gone missing on 23.04.2022, in connection with which a case in Rayappanpatti Police Station Crime No.111/2022 has been registered on 23.04.2022 for 'woman missing'; investigation revealed that Kayathri eloped with Jeyaseelan. The petitioner has suppressed all these facts in his affidavit before this Court.
4. In such view of the matter, it cannot stated that Kayathri is in the illegal custody of the respondents herein for issuance of a writ of Habeas Corpus. Hence, this petition is dismissed.
