This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to grant permission and to give a police protection to conduct Innisai Katcheri Scheduled on 25.04.2025 at Arulmighu Ilangumani Sastha Temple, Vellur, Thoothukudi District by considering the petitioner representation dated 17.04.2025. 2.According to the petitioner, he is the resident of Vellur Village and the villagers decided to conduct festival for Arulmighu Ilangumani Sastha Temple situated at Vellur, Thoothukudi District from 24.04.2025 to 26.04.2025 and also decided to conduct Innisai Katcheri on 25.04.2025. Therefore, they sent the representation dated 17.04.2025, but the same has not been considered. Hence this petition. 2/5
3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police would submit that the petitioner's representation is under consideration and they will consider the same and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law.
4.Since the petitioner's representation is pending with the third respondent and the festival also started and the programme is scheduled to be held on 25.04.2025, this Court directs the third respondent to grant permission for conducting the Innisai Katcheri on 25.04.2025 in the said temple by imposing appropriate conditions forthwith. The petitioner is also directed not to praise particular community people and conduct the programme without any obscene acts and law and order issue. 5.With the above observations and direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of.
