This criminal original petition has been filed seeking direction to direct the respondent Police not to harass the petitioner under the guise of enquiry.
2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent.
3.Today, when the petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent, on instructions, would submit that in earlier, upon the complaint given by the second respondent against the petitioners, the first respondent herein initiated an enquiry in C.No.1382/GDP/SITNI/2020. In the enquiry, it is found that the dispute between the petitioners and the second respondent is in respect of the matrimonial affairs. Thereafter, the first respondent Police closed the enquiry on 13.09.2020. According to him, as of now, no enquiry / no petition is pending against these petitioners. 4. Therefore, in the said circumstances, in the absence of any complaint against these petitioners, the first respondent shall not call the petitioners for enquiry.
5.Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition stands closed.
