This writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission and to provide police protection to conduct "Tamilisai Nattupura Padal" dance programme on 05.05.2023 in pursuant to Arulmighu Selvavinayagar Aalaya Chithra Pournami Thiruvizha situated at Achanur, Thiruvaiyaru, Thanjavur District by considering the petitioner's representations dated 20.04.2023.

2. Mr.R.Suresh Kumar, Government Advocate (Crl.side) takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) would submit that the concerned jurisdictional police station is Manur Police Station, Thiruvaiyaru Taluk, Thanjavur District and if the petitioner gives a fresh representation to the concerned police, his representation will be considered.

4.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is ready to give a fresh representation.

5. I have considered the submission of the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondents.

6. In view of the submission made by either side, on the basis of the representation to be given by the petitioner, the jurisdictional police may consider the petitioner's representation and dispose of the same on merits. If the petitioner is aggrieved by the result, he may work out his remedy through appropriate proceedings.

7. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
