COMMON ORDER The petitioners have filed these Writ Petitions, seeking a direction to the respondents 2 and 3 to revise and regularize the service seniority and to give further promotion as notionally with monetary benefits to them on the basis of their representations.
2. According to the petitioners, they were appointed as Grade-I Police Constable and promoted as Head Constable and Sub-Inspector of Police / Inspector of Police and they retired from service on various dates. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the respondents did not follow the method of promotion and various Government Orders with regard to promotions. In view of the same, the petitioners were not promoted and their juniors were promoted. The petitioners gave representations for their promotions and monetary benefits. Since the same was not considered, the petitioners have come out with the present Writ Petitions.
3. Mr.P.Subbaraj, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents and submitted that the representations of the petitioners will be considered on merits and appropriate orders will be passed within the time to be stipulated by this Court.
4. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

From the materials available on record, it is seen that the petitioners have retired from service on various dates and seeking to revise their service seniority and further promotion notionally with monetary benefits, they have come out with the present Writ Petitions. The petitioners are not entitled for positive direction 5/7
to the respondents as prayed for in the Writ Petitions. In the interest of justice, it is suffice to direct the respondents to consider the representations of the petitioners, in the light of the Government Orders and the orders of this Court and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, these Writ Petitions are disposed of. No costs.
