This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to grant permission to conduct the Kabadi competition of village level organized by Idhaya Paravai Kabadi Kuzhu scheduled to be held from 03.05.2025 at about 10.00 pm to 04.05.2025 till 11.00 pm in the Mariamman Kovil Thidal which is situated at Kungumapuram, Valavanthan Kottai, Trichy District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 19.04.2025.
2.According to the petitioner, he is the resident of the above said village and he is the organizer of Idhaya Paravai Kabadi Kuzhu at 2/5
Kungumapuram, Valavanthan Kottai, Trichy District. The persons who are interested in sports in his village have decided to conduct Kabadi competition from 03.05.2025 at about 10.00 pm to 04.05.2025 till 11.00 pm in the Mariamman Kovil Thidal at Kungumapuram, Valavanthan Kottai, Trichy District. Therefore, the petitioner sent the representation dated 19.04.2025, but the same has not been considered. Hence this petition.
3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police would submit that the petitioner's representation was rejected and the petitioner also received the copy of the rejection order. After receiving the copy, he filed this petition under writ of Mandamus. The petitioner ought to have filed this petition under writ of certiorarified mandamus. Hence this petition is liable to be dismissed. 4.At this juncture, the learned Counsel for the petitioner denied the receipt of the rejection order.
5.Since the representation was already considered and closed and the petitioner also denied the receipt of the rejection order, recording the 3/5
same, this writ petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to approach the second respondent with a fresh representation.
