The petitioner/defacto complainant in Crime No.108 of 2025, on the file of the second respondent police has approached this Court, seeking a direction to the respondent police to expedite the investigation and file the final report within a stipulated time.
2. Today(17.04.2026), when this Criminal Original Petition is taken up for admission, Mr.R.Meenakshi Sundaram, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondents and submits that A1 in Crime No.108 of 2025 has got anticipatory bail on 09.04.2026. Therefore, they need to examine the accused and collect details, for which, they need some more time. 3.It appears that the investigation in a case, which was registered in the year 2025 has not yet been concluded. The respondent police shall endeavour to conclude the investigation in Crime No.108 of 2025 and file the final report within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
