ORDER

This petition is filed seeking writ of mandamus directing the respondents to grant permission and protection to conduct the peaceful protest by laying temporary Pandhal at Periya Mariyamman Kovil Theru, Srivilliputhur, Virudhunagar District on 29.07.2021. 2.When the matter was taken up for hearing on 26.07.2021, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that because of the COVID-19 protocol that has been issued by the Government, no permission can be granted. On that ground, the matter has been adjourned on various dates as well as today.

W.P.(MD)No.12588 of 2021 3.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that because of the prevailing situation, permission cannot be granted. However, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner may be permitted to give fresh representation, after the situation becomes normal in future.

4.By granting such liberty, this petition is dismissed. No costs.
