ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, who is the accused in this crime, apprehending arrest at the hands of the Inspector of Police, Kottai Police Station, for the offence punishable under Section 420 of the Indian Penal Code in Crime No.Not Known of 2020, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the State.

3.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the State, on instructions, submitted that petition enquiry is pending against the petitioner only before the Inspector of Police, Kottai Police Station and not the respondent police.

CRL.O.P.(MD). No.10136 of 2020 4.In view of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), the Inspector of Police, Kottai Police Station, is directed to complete the enquiry, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and if any prima facie case is made out against the petitioner, the Inspector of Police, Kottai Police Station, shall register the First Information Report or close the petition enquiry. Till then, the Inspector of Police, Kottai Police Station, is directed not to arrest the petitioner.
